Step By Step To Programming Microcontroller

this is step by step to programming microcontroller based on my experience :

1. build the basic circuit of microcontroller

2. build the microcontroller programmer/downloader

3. test with small program using assembler language or C++ languange for 8051 (intel microcontroller family)

4. if fail, try to fix the basic circuit or downloader

5. to check the downloader working well, try to write and then read the microcontroller, if its the same result, good job :) , if not, fix the downloader (check all soldering & connection,Voltage in read and write mode)

6. to check the basic circuit, just fit the microcontroller to the socket, if the LED Blinking, thats good job :), if not,fix the basic circuit (check the voltage,reset button/circuit,LED)

7. Try to another more difficult program as you can do... the limit what microcontroller can do is what you can do with microcontroller, be creative..
